History & identity
Our entrepreneurial history began in the 1960s. Working the land, producing fruit, vegetables and cereals, was the genesis of Magnes' activities.
Subsequently, the production activity was refocused on fruit shipping and trading.
In the 1980s, the growth of the agri-food industry meant that ever-increasing volumes of fruit and vegetables had to be transported from the field to the factory, within ever tighter deadlines. At the same time, the number of processing plants was multiplying in France and Europe, forcing the company to reinvent itself.
In the 1990s, the food industry continued to grow. The volumes to be transported were exploding, and manufacturers needed to call on more and more qualified transporters who mastered their specifications. A major decision was taken to meet this need: an own-account transport business was created within the company.
In 2007, our quality of service, respect for deadlines and in-depth product knowledge are rapidly becoming the competitive advantages that have made this own-account transport business a success. Faced with the satisfaction of our customers and With their growing demand, the desire to offer this transport service to as many people as possible is strong. 2008
Creation of Cavaillon branch (84)
Magnes chooses to consolidate its foothold in the fruit and vegetable sector by setting up a new facility at the heart of French arboricultural production.
2009
Located in bordeaux (33)
The opening of a second agency allows Magnes de offer its services actors of the industry minerals, rocks and ores.
2012-2017
Expansion of the company's sales area to include the Picardie, Nord Pas de Calais and Champagne-Ardenne regions, as well as North-West France, Pays de la Loire, Brittany andSpain. Magnes achieves sales of €10 million.
2017
In order to strengthen its development, Magnes joins a family group specialized in transport and logistics for 4 generations.
The network now represents 20 agencies in France and 1 in Belgium.
2018
Branch opening in Monêtier-Allemont (05)
Magnes chose this strategic location for its proximity to Italian cross-border trade, at the heart of Alpine arboricultural production. The group extends its services to the retail sector.
2019
New branch in Perpignan (66)
At the heart of the MIN Saint Charles, Magnes strengthens its position in the food industry in in the heart of the hub of world trade in fruit, vegetables and market garden produce.
2022
Magnes celebrates its 15th anniversary
The company generates sales of close to €15 million, and enjoys steady growth every year.

Set up by the QUALIMAT association, the Qualimat-Transport® specifications define the requirements in terms of traceability of transported products, from the container of raw materials intended for the manufacture of animal feed. These specifications are the national benchmark for preserving the sanitary quality of products (raw materials and compound feeds).
